Jeffco Action Center’s food bank provides a five-day supply of food to a household up to six times annually. The goal of the food bank is to provide a nutritionally balanced supply of food.
It is the largest service program that Jeffco Action Center offers. Each day, the Action Center distributes 3 tons of food that is equivalent to more than 900 grocery bags.
In addition to the many one-time food donations dropped off by local businesses throughout the week, the Action Center has nearly 40 regularly scheduled food pickups that keep the food pantry shelves stocked.
Seniors can receive a special food box once a month through the Action Center. This is a federal program that provides a variety of food items that includes, but is not limited to, cereal, dry milk, cheese, canned goods and juice.
Jeffco Action Center is a distribution site. This program is a partnership between the Action Center and Food Bank of the Rockies who is the federal sponsor. Seniors must register and confirm eligibility at Jeffco Action Center prior to participation.
